Thank you for participating in the Pulmonary Embolism research project. This project is
funded by part of the American College of Radiology (ACR) formula funds from the
Pennsylvania Tobacco Settlement grant.
The overall objective of this study is to identify current practice patterns in the diagnostic
approach to the large number of patients with suspected acute pulmonary embolism in the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and to determine the major factors responsible for local
differences in the diagnostic work-up being used for this common and clinically important
vascular disorder.
The support and participation of the entire PA radiology community is a crucial factor that will make this project successful.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to assist us in this worthwhile endeavor.
